My name is Andy and I'm a Back-end Developer based in Munich. I describe myself as a passionate developer who loves coding, open source, and the web platform. Aside from my job, I like to create and contribute to open source projects. That helps me to learn a ton of new stuff, grow as a developer and support other open source projects.
July 2015 - Present
As a Lead Back-end Engineer, one of my main tasks was to mentor coworkers of my team, contributing to their personal and professional growth. I worked very close to stakeholders to define, organise and breakdown new projects. One of the biggest challenges I faced with my team was to migrate the ulabox.com website to a new business model while refactoring the entire technology stack to Next.js and React. We had to integrate this pivot into the Ulabox application too. I've worked with the logistics team to build Android applications with React-Native for our supply chain and dark stores.
July 2014 - June 2015
As a Front End Engineer I contributed to the development and release of the native Ulabox application. The application is built with React-Native and is available on iOS and Android. I worked on automating the process of shipping our applications to the stores using Fastlane and Travis-CI. Also I contributed to the maintenance of our website, that was built on top of Symfony using Twig, SCSS and JavaScript.
May 2012 - June 2013
As an intern I helped on building pages of the website using Sprint Boot, Symphony, PHP and JAVA.
July 2015 - July 2017
Under Prof. Dr. Jörg Meier, Director Department of Informatics, TU Munich Developed OpenStreetMap Query Filter tool based on JAVA MAVEN framework using suitable XSD and XSLT transformations Modelling of OpenStreetMap data using Blenders, Osm2World and Osm2Filter
July 2013 - June 2015
Developed an algorithm to boost data transfer in heterogeneous sensor network Simulated a network of Telosb motes and Raspberry Pi devices with the focus on increasing energy budget of the sensor network by pulling away the load of large amount of data processing locally and instead shifting the workload to aggregator processing centre with higher compute power and energy budget
My main role is to implement features using SAP Cloud Platform, Spring Boot, IoT Services and bi-directional data integration flows.
